Layin' it on the Line, to Rod Jackson, says it
all about his outlook on life. "You have to give
it all you've got, no matter what line of work you're
in, or what sport you play, or regardless of the personal
situations in life... Life is 10% what happens to you,
and 90% how you react to it. When I come off stage, there's
nothing left. I give it my all and it's my duty to entertain
the fans who I'm blessed to have support me. Everything
we do always has an element of risk to it... I choose
to leave nothing on life's stage when I'm finished!"

She Still Guides Me was my first real intro to
the music business. The title track is a very true story...
it's still very emotional to me. Marketing plans are created
with the purpose of "selling " people on an
idea... the funny thing is, the most honest, from the
heart efforts are the ones that people remember and respond
to. After losing my Mother at 5 years of age, I still
believe that all of the uncanny cicumstances that make
me do what I do, are a result of an angel carrying me,
sometimes when I can't carry myself... This song won me
Country Artist of the Year, and an ECMA Nomination
