Two Time 2005 MIA Award Nominee Rod Jackson to Perform at MIA Awards Show with 60 Member Bel Canto Singers

Rod Jackson, MIA Award Winner and Two Time East Coast Music Award Nominee, is pleased to announce that he will be performing in his Hometown of Grand Falls-Windsor with the Bel Canto Singers at the upcoming MIA Awards Show on November 6th, 2005.

"I’m absolutely thrilled and honored to be on stage with such a talented and large group" Jackson states. "The Bel Canto Singers are known all over as ambassadors for the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor. Our intention is to "Lift the Roof" off my old High School Gym, where the Awards Show will be held. My band is extremely excited about this opportunity."

Be My Hands, the title track from Jackson’s third CD, will be performed at the Awards Show. The song is touching listeners throughout Canada and the US. It is a highly charged, emotional song, which speaks to the suffering in the world...a song which asks listeners to look at the world through others' perspectives. It has a haunting melody and powerful vocals.

Backround Information : Rod Jackson has performed on the same stage as Tom Cochrane, Tea Party, Chilliwack, The Tragically Hip, Finger Eleven, Nelly Furtado, David Wilcox, Jason McCoy, Julian Austin, Crush, and many others.

Rod Jackson is the owner of Creative Solutions, a Business/Media Consulting Firm. Jackson recently expanded his business by combining his love of music with a plan to assist local musicians who are greatly talented, but who lack the Financial means, and Marketing skills to develop their careers. Jackson offers 12 month, no payment/ no interest financing to artists who meet eligibility requirements. "We will put the artist in the studio, record their CD, and go to market all within a few months. The musician/group then walks away with finished product to sell, and they haven’t yet paid a cent. They then have the opportunity to promote and sell their CD, and pay off financial obligations before they accrue any interest on the original investment. In other words, if all goes according to plan, the artist will have product remaining, and will be free of the financing institution." The artist can then move forward with a strategic plan to further grow their music business.
